Lumber In a Bag
I received some nice pieces. There are two at 7 7/8 by 4 by 1/4. These are flat pieces of wood, not plywood. literal sheets of wood. Then I have 10 at 7 7/8 by 1 by 1/4. Again, solid wood. Nice planks for future bridge work or anything. The intriguing part to me is 15 pieces of pure wood, no plywood, 7 7/8 by 4 by 1/16. These bass wood sheets are very flexible. Make sure to prime with a good blocking primer if color retention is important. I like this bag. It is luck of the draw as to what is in any bag but I am happy
better than balsa?
the variety of basswood in the bag is great if you are unsure what you will need but would like some craft wood on hand. basswood is denser than balsawood, this makes it more durable, but tougher to work with. I use both bass and balsa and recommend keeping both types on hand.
