Solid kit of American made workhorse
Minicraft's PV-1 Ventura is a nice kit that went together without much fuss, and looks great upon completion. Fit was mostly good, but clear parts needed some extra attention to make fit acceptable. The kit features nicely engraved panel lines throughout. While cockpit detail is OK, there is no detail in the bomb bay, and essentially none in the wheel wells. Engine detail is not bad for this scale. My kit is one of the original production runs from 1991, so the decals were shot, but I attribute that to age, not quality issues. The instructions were fine, and the painting diagram adequate. No crewmember figures are included. Overall, a simple build of a plane that served in many theatres, and with many of the allied countries during WWII. Recommended.
