Terrific subject for a Space Age kit
Really a Good+. With Lunik 2 included, it's two kits in one. Lots of great detail for a historic item. There are shortcomings, though. As much as Lunik 2 is appreciated, I would have preferred that plastic was used to complete the astronaut's actual figure. Also, the US flag can't really be assembled with ease. Third, as I was not familiar with the decal type requiring subbing alcohol, and not having a second one if I messed up, I went to my surplus waterslide decals and used a NASA emblem and US flag. It looks bit like it would if it had made it to the Moon. I posted a picture of it. There's a little surprise. There's a lunar bug in the kit, too. Excellent subject, but the odd parts decisions keep this kit from earning a perfect score.
