Reviews : Moebius 53' Trailer with Reefer Option

I was looking for a reefer trailer to go with the tractors I had already constructed. This fit the bill perfectly. It took me awhile to put this together; my main concern was where to put it and not have my wife telling me it was too large to fit anywhere nice. It does take up some space as mentioned in the other reviews, but once the space problem was solved it sits very nicely on the wooden shelf made just for it to be displayed. I hauled a reefer most of the time and building this brought a lot of memories back. Empire Freezer of Syracuse, N.Y. was not one of the better ones. It sure felt good on a hot summer day though. I recommend this to anyone looking to hook-up with a model tractor . It makes for a nice looking rig. An easy build, but takes some time to make it right.

A large trailer when completed at 26.5 inches long. The kit is basic with most of the detail in the suspension, support legs and fuel/air tanks. I was a little disappointed that the rear doors do not open to reveal an interior, the suspension wheels was not adjustable to a longer or shorter wheelbase and Thermo King decals for the reefer are not included in the kit. There was some flash and some of the holes or location points were not molded open so you will have to open them yourself. The four sides of the trailer are long pieces that fit well together with the chrome front and rear panels. I ended up painting the entire trailer over the chromed panels. Can be completed as a dry goods or reefer. Good trailer to attach to your completed semi-tractors.

I am looking forward to building this kit. Upon inspection the parts in this kit overall it will make a nice trailer. I like that the sides are 1 piece. It has the same tries/wheels as the IH Lonestar kit. What I don't like is that is is a simplified kit. It has a air ride suspension but it is very basic and isn't made to slide. It has slide rails but they're not functional. The nose, unit grills and rear are chromed. The Thermo King unit is ok but there are no markings or a control panel for it. I think overall it will make a pretty nice model trailer.

This kit was a very nice kit. Goes together very well. Nice that the side, roof and bottom panels are all one piece. The option to make as a dry goods or a reefer was nice. The chassis and other little details like the rivets and door hardware was nice. Two draw backs that I found, the suspension is not adjustable and the doors don't open. The instructions were some of the best I've seen. All in all, this a very nice kit that goes great with any semi. Will get an other one.

This trailer fits well with my Peterbuilt that I just finished. I love the reefer option on this trailer. I would recommend this product for everyone. Very easy to build and the parts are great.

This a nice kit and i am very happy to the newer trailer goes together well i used amt coke holiday decals on my this trailer went well with my the truck i used

Very nice to have a modern trailer kit and much better than the old AMT kits. But, it would be really nice to have a few more options for modern US tractors.

some of the decals came apart when applying, was a little difficult to get trailer together but all in all it was a good project

This was the most fun build and it's nice to see a longer trailer for my rigs
