Reviews : Moebius 48' Cambered Trailer

Ok, it's a bit pricey for what you get. BUT ---- the detail is AMAZING! The rub rails alone..! And they match up to the 2' stake pockets, with two chain spools between each stake pocket - just like the Wilson trailers I've pulled. And it looks like it's patterned on a Wilson - which was my trailer of choice! A few minor details that I have a problem with... First, the kingpin provided is too large to fit in a Revell or AMT 5th wheel, so I made a smaller one. (I also moved the kingpin forward to mimic the 14 kingpin setting - the distance from the front of the trailer to the kingpin - we had on the trailers at my last company.) The other is the landing gear crank - it's left in the cranking position. On the highway, that can get you a ticket from DOT; it needs to be folded (there's a basic u-joint built in to do this). I cut out the joint, and used a bit of C-channel and made it look like it's folded. It's visible in the photos. The side boxes aren't made to open; I opened one, and decided to leave the other closed. I'm making this as a truck and trailer I would have wanted to buy in my trucking days. So, I'm putting a load on it... Along with the crate, I've got the Revell/Gernany Porsche diesel Junior tractor to put up front and chain down.. Yes, it's a bit much - but for the level of detail, it's amazing. If you're looking for a highly realistic Wilson flatbed trailer, THIS IS IT. I pulled trailers like this for 40 years, so ...

Haven’t had a chance to assemble the trailer yet but looking through the bags of parts I must say I’m impressed. The level of detail of the parts are amazing it even has scale brake drums. I can’t wait to assemble this trailer.

Kit was fun and easy. Everything fit exactly as it was supposed to. Decals were excellent. This one will eventually find itself behind the Moebius Prostar. For now, it’s pulled by a Freightliner coe.

Man, what an excellent trailer kit. This is one of those kits that you know you need to buy a few of. So many build potentials with this one. Thanks Moebius!!!

Excellent model trailer,very nicely detailed. This will go great with my Peterbilt classic model 378 loaded with steel and straped down

I built this kit in flat position. Added a side kit and tarp. This a challenging, but awesome kit.
