Another nicely detailed kit from Moebius
By: Hayden(N.J.)
The Moebius 1964 Chevy Nova SS Kit builds out of the box as a stock Nova SS, V8 with automatic on the floor. The tiny decal sheet provides scripts, badges, dash guages and license plates. The box art shows narrow whitewalls but only black no name tires are in the box. The nicely detailed platform style interior builds up from the floor pan. There are 3 center consoles on the tree but the instructions depict just one version. There are 2 floor pedal options, 1 with a clutch pedal, the other without. The instructions show the 2 pedal automatic. Everything is separate on the well detailed chassis. The parts trees have 2 mufflered dual exhaust setups, 2 sets of heads, 2 sets of valve covers, 1 V8 engine block, 1 set of stock headers and 2 transmissions. The instructions show the 1 build option. The large, colorful, orderly instruction sheet chronicles the V8 automatic build and is easy to follow. The molding is crisp and clean with no notable flash and a high parts count. The extra parts were obviously a panned precursor to the followup versions released later. A nice kit! Too bad about the tires.
Great Kit
This kit is a pleasure to build. The parts fit precisely, and the instructions are very clear. The model has great interior details that are easy to highlight with a gel pen or silver marker. Overall, a fun kit to build even for an inexperienced model builder. I also have the Gasser Nova but have not yet built.
