Reviews : Moebius Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea 4 Window Seaview

This kit is a repop by Moebius of the '60s TV show Seaview submarine. Moebius has an Irwin Allen (the producer) license and has released a number of kits based on his TV shows. This was originally made by Aurora back in the day so was a nice kit to find available for a good price of one of my fav TV shows when I was growing up. The kit is simple but is a good small rendition of this scifi submarine. The base does a good job of depicting an ocean floor and makes a nice shelf display when completed. And as with all my Moebius kits the fit and moldings are great. I highly recommend it to those geeky old guys fondly recalling the TV shows of their youth in the '60s.

Moebius Models has hit a homerun with this kit... A scaled down version of their 1/128th scale beauty this kit is top notch... Built it straight from the box or go all out in detailing it - either way you'll have a winner... The kit comes in ABS plastic so you'll want to use either Testors or Tamiya liquid cement not the familiar tube glue we used when we were kids... As I said - this kit is great straight from the box but with some extras from companies like TSDS modeling (Fold-up interior and detail decals) and ParaGrafix (photoetch kit) - add a little lighting and it becomes a masterpiece... I highly recommend this kit for all modelers...

This model of the Seaview submarine was an absolute joy to make and one of the easiest models I have assembled in a long time. The only reason I gave it a Good review and not an Excellent review was because I bought this model to replace an old Seaview model I had from years ago and this model was much smaller than the old Seaview model I had before. I also still have a model of the mini Flying Sub and anyone looking at this model and the model of the mini Flying Sub can see that they aren't to scale and don't look right together.

This kit builds up into a really nice shelf model of the Legendary Seaview.. Should be easy enough for the les experienced builder, yet enough really good details for the experienced builder to bring it to life.

this was an wonderful build easy to read instructions great detailing especially the base looks like the sea bed being a big voyage to the bottom of the sea fan. it was fun to build .
