Reviews : Moebius Mars Attacks Martian Figure

Hello fellow modelers, I have recently finished building the Moebius kit,Mars Attacks. First off, to spare you from a repetitive dialog, this kit WAS so much fun to build! I am hyper focused when I'm working on a model , and this kit was simply a joy to experience. I made a brick wall from foam insulation, to give the kit a backdrop and to create a story. If you look at the photo of this kit on the only review, other than mine, you will notice that the head faces away from the position that the Ray Gun is pointing. I cut the plastic part that connects the head to the Martian body and repositioned it so facing the direction where the Ray Gun is pointing. Among other details that I implemented, I would like to say, if you haven't built this kit... Build it! You will truly enjoy this one.

Loved this Movie when it came out and this kit is a good reproduction. The kit itself has zero flash on the parts and it engineered pretty well. many of the seams on arms, legs, etc are noticeable unless you want to take the time to fill and sand them - but overall, anyone could put this together regardless of their skill set and make it look good. And yes, the streetlight globe is molded in an opaque plastic and perfect for lighting. I added a couple of LEDs, fed the leads down the street light standard and connected to a battery case that fits under the base - clean and invisible until you light it up.

This is one of the most FUN figures I have ever worked on! Some difficult seam lines, like on the legs, but nothing that can't be overcome. And the different level of textures in this set are definitely one of the things that make it so great—super slimy wet from the dead guy's guts, to the ultra matte of the concrete, and everything in between! From a professional to someone needing practice, this should fit EVERY skill level. I LOVE THIS MODEL!!! I will post pics soon :]

Saw these cards when I was a kid, but was not allowed to spend allowance on them. They were astonishingly graphic for cards meant for kids, and this kit does a great job reflecting that artistry. Kit fit together nicely, and it was not difficult to cover the seams. Excellent details. Light post was clearly made for lighting, with plenty of room under the base for batteries. I thought Moebius had planned a series of Mars Attacks models, but apparently not.

I've built numerous Moebius kits and this is another example of a great kit. I vaguely remember this comic book craze and then saw the movie which was crazy. This kit really captures the character and theme with a perfect rendition of the grossness of these characters. I used mostly acrylics on it and did quite a bit of detailing and really liked the result. I actually ended up selling when a guy really wanted it but have another to do again.

Great subject and cool kit overall. Kit goes together well and should be easy enough for anyone to build. The biggest issue would be the visible seams on the Martian once it is together. If you don't care about seams, you are all set. If you want to make them go away, you might have a good amount of work ahead of you. Either way, it is a cool kit to have built and on display.

This is a great kit. It is better than the old vinal kit from the past. Detailing on the the kit is super great. Went together like a charm. Get this one. You wont be disappointed

Been wanting this kit for sometime. Finally bought it. Mold lines to clean up and seams to fill. East assembly. Great kit,great price, and fast shipping.
