Round 2 quit remaking old style molds

Round 2 brought back another classic, but they are trying to recreate old molds instead of making a whole new kit.
Ertl made all new tooling for the Amt 71 duster, it actually competes with the other companies, but Round 2 did the opposite, they tried to copy the low quality tooling from the 70’s and it shows, the crappy one piece chassis, the low detail interior, the slush mold motor.
They should have used the existing tooling from the 71 for the 72 , sure Nostalgia is nice, but a lot of us model builders like detail and don’t really care for the old style kits.
The same thing was done with the 71 demon kit.
