Reviews : MPC 1980 Chevy Monte Carlo

I'm glad that Round 2 released this model kit again! The options for the car are limited to a choice of wheels, a landeau top, a luggage rack, and t-tops. The t-tops do not have glass or plastic inserts. Another great Round 2 decal sheet has been included! The kit also comes with a trailer and chopper. The chrome inserts for the bumper are a nice touch and install easily. My only issue with the kit is that the hood sits directly on the windshield which makes it difficult to align with the car body. I had fun customizing my model by adding different wheels & tires, a hood scoop, a 427 big block and dual exhausts. Enjoy building your model.

MPC really did a great job on this kit. Parts all fit with the only exception of the exhaust pipe/catalytic converter piece. But, that could just be my build, because it went together amazingly well. A joy to build!

This was a great build. All the parts fit perfectly. The wheel choices were a breath of fresh air, I plan on using the other set on a different Chevy build.

I had 2 of the 1st issue of this model. Both were junk the rightfront fender was warped so bad they were unbuildable,there was no support in mold

So excited to see this reissued! Still wish there was more Monte Carlo years available, but I will take what I can get!
