Reviews : MPC 1970 Dodge Coronet Super Bee

The decals alone are worth the price of admission. There are Super Bee C stripes in light blue and light green, allowing you to build renditions of rare colored original 1:1 cars. Also included, but not mentioned in the options or instructions, is a 2-4 barrel 426 Hemi. The Dana 60 rear axle is also a correct application for the 440 6-Pack and Hemi engines, which is a detail always missed by model car manufacturers. There are also very accurate Hurst Pistol Grip and T-Handle shifters in this kit, which was a very pleasant surprise. I originally purchased two of these kits, and after receiving them and noting the options, bought 3 more to build replicas of '70 Super Bees in rare original colors sparked by my imagination while researching build details. I would highly recommend this kit for anyone wishing to build a maximum performance optioned '70 Dodge Super Bee.

I love building models of Mopar vehicles and this one did not disappoint. There was a lot of trimming needed but other than that the build went smoothly. The parts fit was good and the hood vents had hole under the hood that helped with their positioning. I did have an issue with the decals, they tore easily and were difficult to position because of that flaw, but with patience I was able to complete the install. I encourage the purchase of this Coronet Super Bee model kit, it would make a nice addition to your collection.

The kit is a really nice fit and finish affair, and is comparable to the AMT '68 and '69 Roadrunner and GTX kits which share many parts. I highly recommend this kit for first time and experienced modelers alike.

Very nice kit for MPC.No real fit issues.One suggestion is definitely trim 1/16th off the wing windows to allow for the interior bucket to fit in place.Very nice kit.Love the different variations of stripes for this kit
