Micro Liquid Decal Film is an outstanding product and a must-have if you work with older or fragile decals. It's incredibly easy to apply and creates a thin protective layer that prevents decals from cracking or falling apart when placed in water. The coating dries quickly, remains flexible, and doesn't noticeably add thickness to the decal. It has saved several old decal sheets that would otherwise have been unusable. Application is straightforward with a soft brush, and once dry, the decals behave much more reliably during use. Just remember to cut out each decal individually after applying the film, since it coats the entire sheet. Overall, it's an excellent product that does exactly what it promises. Highly recommended for any serious scale modeler.

I built an airplane from the mid 60s for my dad. I didn't dare wet the original decal sheet. I painted this on with a soft brush. It went on very evenly and dried quickly. I seals the original ink and creates a new film that will lift off the original paper. As such, you must trim the decal as closely as possible so it will lift off correctly. It worked perfectly and I was able to use a decal sheet that would have been very hard to replace. Very happy.

I use this product on all the decals for my Roden & other kits. I have had sad results with not using it, so no more. It's a very thin film so you can't over apply. Film dries in minutes. I brush the liquid on each separate decal and trim them as close to image as possible to reduce the excess film. Easy clean up with 70% isopropyl alcohol.

I've been buying models since the seventies to build after retiring. I made it and I'm starting on them. Trouble is, the decals crumble. This stuff saves them . Just paint it on and let it dry. I trim as close as I can when cutting them out. I'm never without now.

Perfect for: rescuing older decals, sealing inkjet decals after printing, making fragile decals more durable and forgiving. Dries super clear. Don't be afraid to coat general generously. Clean brush afterward with standard rubbing alcohol (isopropanol).

If you have a set of cracked decals, this is the product for you! Simply brush over your decal or decal sheet, let dry, and cut decal out and use as normal. Be sure to cut close to the decal outline.
