George Adamski Uber Alles
I simply love this model! No matter what your skill lever as a modeler, I promise, you will thoroughly enjoy this kit. Just so you know, you can build this UFO model in a matter of minutes. Also, most of the pieces simply snap together. Almost no glue is necessary. I only used glue on one or two window parts. After I built the kit, the next step was deciding how to paint it. Since it is a fictional model, you can choose almost any paint scheme. I chose a base of gunship gray for the top part and flat white for the underside. Then, I added black and white camouflage to the top of the UFO. As for the UFO design, it closely resembles the legendary George Adamski UFO models of the 1950s. Of course, the main difference is that this Nazi UFO has gun turrets. Of course, after completing this kit, I quickly decided how to use it in future photo shoots. The possibilities are endless.
German Science Fiction from WW2
This Pegasus kit does a very nice job of capturing this hypothetical German WW2 flying saucer gun platform. The Germans had some crazy weapons being developed and while I don't think this was ever serious it makes for an interesting model. The kit is nice and typical of Pegasus using that kind of soft plastic which builds just like normal styrene. The detailing for such a small model is great and assembly is fairly easy. I went with a camouflage paint scheme in Luftwaffe colors and was very happy with the results. If you enjoy subjects like this it is highly recommended.
Science fiction or fact?
The Haunebu I/II and the Foo-Fighters of World War II are still a mystery. Did the Reich perfect the electromagnetic propulsion system? I don't think anyone will ever know. This kit is a beautiful representation of that mythical aircraft. Cast beautifully with engraved panel lines, and little or no flash, this kit is representative of the quality that Pegasus Hobbies is known for. Regardless of your interest in authentic or fantasy aircraft, this is a must-build addition to any collection.
Unboxing of Haunebu II Saucer Model
Just received the model in the mail. I was impressed by the box art although some more pics, on the box, of the completed model would be nice. The parts inside seem crisp with no flash. Not a whole lot of parts so it should go fast. I bought the led light starter kit(P/N T-560-S) to give it some lights. we'll see how that goes. It's 1/144th scale?? so a few figures would have been nice. Those scale figures should be easily found. I do plan making a diorama for it.
Nice Kit
Easy to build, except for the wheels that were a bit wonky to get aligned. Otherwise, I really like the end result and it's the perfect size for a bookcase display.
Fun to build
Fun to paint. You can paint this model in so many ways. I left the top unglued so that I can add a light kit for it.
Haunebu II German WWII UFO
Excellent kit, only problem is the instruction sheet, not very clear hard to see views.
German UFO?
Easy build with WWII elements added to the traditional flying saucer.
