NIce Diorama - Might Have Been Better
I really like the detail on this kit for the 1/144 scale. However, in the movie, the war machines always travel in threes. I'm not sure the death ray had to be a two-piece assembly; the seam sort of ruins the verisimilitude. Plus, the support rods could have been molded in clear. Lastly, if one or both of the tanks had been molded in clear, a nice disintegration lighting effect could be achieved. Granted, these are nit-picky observations. This is an overall good-looking build-up.

Awesome kit! Simple, you can slap it together in one sitting. When I was photographing the completed kit, I realized it was easy to snap dramatic pictures of this kit from all sorts of angles. Cool stuff.
Not for nothing, but the scene depicted in this diorama doesn't actually appear on-screen in the movie. (It happens off-camera.)
War Machines
This a nice diorama and easy build. If you are SYFIY fan then this is a must have item that looks great on a shelf with other SYFIY builds you may have. It is nicely detailed and the plating on the alien ships real looks futuristic
