An 11 Year Build of a '60s Spacecraft
I have been a big fan of the space program since the later '60s. So when I saw this kit I had to build it. My first was long ago in the '70s and I still had parts noting I had not done such a good job. So about 11 years ago I got another along with a Real Space Models resin enhancement kit, LVM PE enhancement kit, and SMS scale decals. I built it back then but at a contest managed to drop it putting it in the car and set it aside. Finally a few months back a rocket scientist buddy said he'd like me to finish it for him so it was back on the bench. Because of all the aftermarket parts I was very slow. In the end though with the PE seats replacing the kit dome seats, totally not to scale, and lots of resin parts and very accurate decals I just finished it. I'm quite happy as is my buddy. If you build it OOB it isn't that difficult but accurizing it really made it a much more difficult built but in the end it is so much better.
Gemini incomplete interior
I'm really enjoying spending time in my Play Room building this. I keep my tablet next to me with lots of interior photos of this capsule. Unfortunately, the model interior could have been much more complete with a little effort on Revell's part. I've been able to make a few pieces on my own but I would really have liked to see right and left switch panels. Maybe someone can market an add on kit like so many other models have. I'm still giving this a 5 star because every is assembling so well and it's going to look great.
Great memories of this one with Dad

Brings back memories of building this one with Dad in the 1960's. Molds haven't changed and are still good after all these years.Great kit for beginners and old hands trying to go beyond the prototype model presented.Good old time kit just like you remember it.
Another Memory Lane kit....

I'm really looking forward to this, I built this the first time when I was 9 or so, needless to say I was way over my head... Soooo, lets give it another shot....
