One of the best!
This has got to be one of the best kits I've ever had the pleasure to build. And I got the kit dirt-cheap... probably because Revell found an error in the packaging, that saw parts from the easy-click version of the kit replacing the corresponding parts in this kit. This was a misery because it came at the very end of the project, and up to this point, the kit seemed almost flawless. I'm referring to the side-view mirrors. Fortunately, there was enough plastic to modify them, and they look just fine on this regular-build model. One of the features I enjoyed most about this kit was the use of the easy-click concept, with matching tabs and pinholes that made assembly so accurate and easy. (I'm sure the easy-click kit is much more simplified, since it has so few parts). I can especially recommend this kit to the person just entering the hobby, that produces a very good looking model that can be proudly displayed (just don't expect them all to be this nice!)
It's a Good Kit.
I'm sort of on a 4x4 kick at the moment so picked this one up a while back while trying to find a Wrangler and/or Cherokee kit for a Commanche conversion attempt. And the off-road version (rmx854053) has no been in stock for a while. I've never owned a newer Jeep but it built up good and looks the part. I had paint issues (humidity) and had to sand down and repaint mine. I did swap out the kit's tires for a slightly larger set from Revell's snap-together Rubicon kit (rmx851695). I like this one and could see myself picking up one or two more in the future to try to customize. Definitely recommend.
Nice Jeep Kit
A nice little easily assembled, curbside slump breaker. Don't let it's snap together roots fool you. This is actually a nicely detailed kit. I painted mine in Testors Extreme Lacquer Root Beer and added decals from Revell's Jeep CJ7 Golden Eagle kit for a '70s throwback vibe. I would recommend this kit for newbies and kids as well as pros because you'll get great results from a very easily assembled kit.
For my daughter
After a ten year break from building I started again I was surprised when my 16yr old said she wanted to build one and wanted me to teach her She is now hooked and I get some good quality time with her
Jeep Wrangler
My daughter built one of these and she loved it so my wife wanted to try one. She really liked it too.
Great Transaction!
Great kit, very little flash, clear instructions. Received quickly and in great condition.
