Reviews : Revell-Monogram Baja Bronco

This is an awesome kit that goes together well and I highly recommend it. The chassis itself builds up into a very nice model. That being said there are a few relatively minor things to watch out for. Ignition coil 81 has a round pin but the female receiver is a half round hole. Likewise, the half round hole in tie rod 30 needs to be drilled out to accept the round pin on part 57. Care must be taken when removing front axle 40 from the sprue. I attempted to twist it off (a big no no) and I broke it at the slot, requiring repair. I had success installing disc brakes 53 on the axles prior to them being installed on the chassis. It requires a good amount of force to insert the pins and it seemed safer to add the wheels closer to the end of the build. A notable omission is a separate shifter for the transfer case, but this is easily added from the parts box or can be scratch built. I elected to not use the top and this resulted in a large gap at the top of the tailgate. I added a piece of 0.060 square styrene to close it up. I had never built a truck of any kind before. This was a fun and satisfying build.

There are no negatives to this kit at all! This kit would be perfect for the beginner or the more experienced modeler. The price is great. Well-engineered. The detail is great. The decals are great. You could build a Baja racer that actually participated in the races or the street version that is pristine. It has 137 parts, and I used all but a handful. The engine is nice and begs modification, as well as the engine bay. The wheel attachments are rock sold and use actual metal pins. Frame to body was perfect and the car sat on all four wheels. The instructions were vague about the dash placement and the color callouts are a little inaccurate on the interior, but the decals are perfect and can be used on different colors. Get one or more. You will like the kit. Absolutely recommended.

Very nice kit. Kit has lots of after market support. Way back when in the late 70s my brother in law used to takes my father in laws bronco out when he got stuck he would have to go to the shop to get the backhoe to pull it out. The bronco is still around with a bunch of parts to rebuild it. It was brown with white bumpers n grill n trim. I have some emberglo paint i order for a 66 ford. I may try that paint as it is close. Very little clean up on the parts. Rims n tires are nice wish they had origjnal style rims in this kit, but it does have original hub caps. This is a well thought out kit. Nice decals with extras.

I love this little model! Its was super easy to build.The only reason for only 4 stars When I opened the box It contained 2 Bronco Bodies Not a body & Top. I did email the manufacturer requesting the Top, But according to the manufacturer a Top could not be sent due to the spread of the VIRUS. Other than this little hick up the model is really easy to put together and just plain fun to build!

This truck went together so smoothly. There's a lot of detail in the build and all of the parts fit together well, I didn't need to do much work to clean up pieces, they were almost all perfect. I like how it came out, the only negative thing I could say is that 3 of the pins for the wheels didn't engage when I pressed them in, and I had to glue them on.

This kit builds up so nice and everything fits together so well that I ended up buying 3 more. It's kind of shocking it took so long for any model kit maker to do this generation of bronco given that it has been such a popular body style since the day it was released. Superb detail and part fitment. Very highly recommended

Excellent kit boy they've come a long way with decals very detailed goes together nice very nice build my pictures are down by the Colorado River red white and blue with the black hood just unbelievable how nice this little model goes together very fun build

Minor flash on a few parts, a little bit of sanding needed for a good fit, not too bad. Some meatier tires would be nice

I just recieved it and it looks like it will be a fun build, I'll probably order another one.
