Great kit of a long wanted subject
This kid is from Roden. While they are a mainstream manufacturer, their kits come in short run plastic. This is no problem if you know how to work with it. The Starlifter has been long neglected in plastic, so it's great that we now have one. Roden does skimp out on some details, such as gear bays. However it builds up nice and very quick. Replace the decals though. The kit supplied ones are terrible.
Poor fits.
Fuselage halves and port wing fit poorly one side was actually shorter forcing the use of filler putty, the vertical stabilizer has a slight but noticeable tilt to starboard and top wing decals shredded. Being the only model of a C-141 I could find I ended up with a least a serviceable example of the aircraft.
Mediocre Kit.
This was a mediocre kit at best. Flash was everywhere, and fit issues were horrible. The dihedral angle is all wrong. No cockpit detail. The only thing going for this kit is that it is the only one of this subject.
C 141 B Starlifter kit
This kit is over priced. It had pieces missing (only had pieces for one side of wheel housing).Cockpit has no details, very disappointed in the kit.
