Major Inaccuracy
I was considering buying this kit as the Fokker D. VI has always been one of my favorite WW I aircraft. I have even built the Roden 72nd scale kit of this aircraft. After reading reviews of this kit I will not be purchasing it. While the reviews have been favorable, they pointed something out that should have raised giant red flags about the kit. The fuselage for the D. VI is the same as the fuselage for the Fokker Dr. I! This is fine and dandy except for one thing. The fuselage for the D. VI is LONGER than the fuselage was for the Dr. I by over half a meter. It also had a slighter wider and deeper fuselage than the Dr. I. In short, you can not get an accurate Fokker D. VI from this kit. I first discovered this decades ago when I had thought about kit bashing a Revell Fokker Dr. I with a Fokker D. VII to try to get a D. VI. Roden did not do an adequate job of researching this aircraft before they produced the kit.
