Revel Fokker DR.1
I have always been interested in the Red Baron and found this kit while looking around on Hobbylinc. The contents of the box is well packaged and there was no breakage to any of the parts. All parts of the kit is molded in red. The instructions are easy to follow, but also look at the diagrams that are shown. A couple parts have to be positioned a certain way and if they are not they will not line up correctly. The parts match up pretty good. (dry fit before gluing) There are also diagrams on how to add additional string to the tail end for maneuvering and around the wings for supports (string is not included) I would use .015 or smaller brass wire instead of string to model this also. Due to the small size of the kit I suggest painting the parts while on the parts trees. Touch up are easily done after the kit is assembled. While gluing the smaller parts use a very small brush to do this. It will keep down excess glue. With this kit alot of the parts have to be glued and painted. It can also has diagrams on painting this kit in two different paint schemes. The decals a very crisp and clear and can be read. Once assembled the kit was smaller then I thought it would have been, but overall this is a nice kit.
Very good affordable little kit
This is good little kit available for a good price which I simply could not pass up. A very simple but detailed kit, the instructions were clear, very nice detail on the two machine guns, the engine, and the wings. Decal's were very crisp and clean, positioned with no difficulty, and size did not minimize their quality and detail either. However I did have a few issues with two small pieces braking due to being very thin, and more difficulty than I had expected with getting the landing gear glued correctly to the fuselage, and the top wing glueing down and staying glued onto the wing supports. But other than that, in the end I got a very nice result out of this kit and am very pleased especially this being the first kit I used my airbrush on. I would definitely recommend this kit to another, whether you just started the hobby or are experienced you will get more than your money's worth out of this kit and have a fun build. 4 out of 5 stars on this.
Snoopy's choice
The iconic Fokker DR.1, most recognizable as the weapon of Baron Manfred Von Rictoffen. A well made model with good fit and minimal flash. Little sanding or filling is required other than the seams, and if the 'Red Baron' scheme is opted for, painting is fast and easy. I took my time with this build knowing that it would get an ordinate amount of attention. It turned out great and is easily the centerpiece of my WWI model plane collection. This model plane needs to be in any modelers WWI fighter collection. For the price and quality of manufacture I highly recommend the model airplane.
Revell value for money
Firstly, I must say tha I like Revell for the value the value for money that the offer in their kits. This is very typical of that. The price is inexpensive and the detail adequate for that price. The build is simple, and support by easy to follow instruction. The great thing about this kit is if you make a mistake, It is cheap enough to buy the other. But really being able to buy several planes in this scale for a low cost means it is ideal for staging an aerial combat scene from a ceiling painted with the sky, which is a great idea for a child bedroom.
Good, tiny and red kit, of the German legendary triplane.

Given the size (it's really tiny) and the cheap price, it's a very nicely molded model. Every part fits well with each other. It's easy and fast to build. It has very nice decals, quite simple painting scheme. Be really careful with the landing gear section (it's very weak), or you'll break it easily (as it was in my case). The plastic parts come in red. Some weathering, would be usefull, given the overall red scheme, to make a more realistic aspect, if not, it will look like a toy.
Red Baron flies again

Not the most detailed model out there but for the price it was worth it. All the parts went together well, the directions were clear and concise and they even offered up the paint scheme for Lothar von Richtoffen's aircraft. I will buy this kit again just so I can paint the secondary scheme.
We are using these 1/72nd scale models for an historical board game called Blue Max. Lots of fun and looking for more models of different and less popular WW I aircraft.
Great, simple kit
My only criticism of this kit is that the tail struts are very fragile and need to be handled with extreme care. If you break them and can't glue them back together neatly, or don't want to use them, then you could use thin metal rods instead.
The decals are excellent; they are thick enough to allow repositioning without tearing.
Low cost fun, recommended for any experience level.
Fokker Dr.1 kit by Revell
Very easy and simplistic kit to build. Easy to follow instructions, crisp decals, and even two painting options. Helpful Tip: Take your time cutting out the small pieces, as well as making sure to dryfit every piece. Otherwise, very nice kit with great amounts of detail and great quality pieces.
Nice detail
A very nicely detailed engine and cockpit. The decals are pretty basic and you get a choice of 2 versions of the aircraft. I would say this kit is for a more experienced modeler. Enjoy.

I was not expecting the red plastic. Last time I built a German WWI plane, it was an Albatross 1/72 in orange plastic. Now I have to decide which brother's plane to build.
Great kit
This model came in excellent condition and, it will introduce me to building ww1 model airplanes. All the parts are in order and I’m excited to make this airplane.
excellent
everything fit well and liked the struts being more sturdy then the ones in the RODEN KIT.. and its already red but painted mine again with red. looks nice
Small little weekend project kit.
