A powerful, pint-sized model!
Given the price and scale, I was not expecting much from this model in terms of difficulty or detail, but I have to say I was quite pleasantly surprised! For a ship that measures less than 8 inches from stem to stern and fits in the palm of your hand, this 1/1200 scale Bismarck has an unanticipated amount of fine detail, from raised plank lines and chain links on the deck to tiny stairs throughout the island. It was definitely a fun build, though at such a small scale some of the nooks and crannies were rather difficult to paint. Overall, I highly recommend this kit for a bit of (cheap!) fun, just make sure to keep your expectations in line for such a small model!
A small build
This is a model kit for someone with experience and patience. The pieces are extremely small and some are delicate. It was a lot of fun building this one but the hard part was painting it. The deck and hull should be painted before the super structure is glued on. Some of the secondary guns are blocked by other parts making painting difficult. Also the two air planes are difficult to get to so those should be painted before they're glued down. All in all this is a detailed and inexpensive kit.
Small Ship, Small Problems
It's about half a foot long and about an inch or two wide, so it's a small ship.. It has around 25 pieces. The pieces are small, can be hard to fit in the hull, and can break easily. Painting's not a problem if you don't follow the paint guide. The turrets won't fall off, but won't rotate either. I don't recommend using it as a toy because some pieces are fragile. Plus, there is no swastika decal to place on the deck. For $7, it's a decent model and is fairly quick to build.

A fun afternoon build
Don't expect much at this price and scale. But not a bad result.
