In step 15, an additional floor piece for the camper interior is installed. This piece did not fit well and left part of the floorboard above the sill of the double doors. When fitting the side and front doors, it requires flexing the receiving panels slightly to place the hinge pins in the sockets. Once the panels are glued in place, there's none of very little flex. Consider putting the doors on the panels before gluing the panels down and putting the roof on. This can become an issue with the front doors as the hinges, and therefore the fit, depends on the placement of the front panel which requires it to be placed on an angle. You can't know what the actual angle is until you place the roof on and align the pins on top of the front panel with the sockets in the roof. Having the doors on their hinges will help with the alignment. This brings me to the steering wheel assembly that sits in a yoke piece glued to the dash. Recommend gluing the yoke to the dashboard but just dropping the steering column loose into the yoke so it gets the proper alignment which will depend on the angle of the front panel when installed. Once the body is assembled, just put a drop of glue on the end of the steering column where it drops into a socket on the floorboard. I had issues with all the above and it affected the overall outcome of my build. Experiment with the above tips to find what works for you. just for the record I hate the Revell paints. You can stir and stir and still get crummy coverage.

I had a good time putting this kit together. For the price, it has extremely good value. There are an alphabet of sprues. Some alternate versions of the van, like a passenger and panel version seemingly are included, but are not mentioned in the directions. Most plastic pieces were fine, but the doors and long panels were a bit warped. There are a ton of decals that are integral to this model. Everything from wood trim, curtains, battery terminals, license plates and cushions. Along with recommending a couple of dozen paint colors, this kit can keep you busy. I personally didn't care for the style of directions, but I am used to Tamiya model directions rather than Monogram. One error I found was on step 18. It calls for decal 38, which is the wrong size--but swap with decal 26 and you will be fine. The other misstep in the directions was a lack of clarity in fitting side panels to the front. As a result, the front of the van simply didn't fit together with the hind portion as smoothly as I would have liked. The strong points of this model are the excellent attention to detail, slick use of decals throughout, and quality of undercarriage design. This is close to a 5 out of 5 kit. I recommend it for experienced modellers. Beginners should look elsewhere.

This kit was a really fun build with a ton of options. Unfortunately not all options were shown in the directions so I could not tell what all of them were. The amount of detail was incredible, the pieces fit together well for the most part, there were some pieces that were a little warped making for additional bracing required. The capability to have opening doors all around were both good and bad. The hinges were a little tricky to work with, a couple broke with a little too much pressure, causing me to glue in place. Overall this was a very fun and satisfying build, only advice is to make sure and take your time with all the little tiny pieces and hinges

This one will take some time Have to build some preassemblies and let them set before moving on. There is very little molding flash but has some twisted parts so test fit every thing. Make sure to paint before assembling. and follow directions about adding decals while building. I can be built as the camper or a bus. Have to cut to install windows in roof of bus. Has a lot of detail interior not so much engine.

not all the pieces pictured on the box were included,I kinda figured that going in. Lots of pieces here so get ready.Also be ready for some warped panels and fitting issues,Many different body panels to finish the kit but not a problem for an experienced builder.Mine came out so sweet with a little extra work but that's what makes modeling fun..a little challenge.

Another of the many Revell VW buses that I built. There is a lot of detail to this model and was a blast to build. The only thing I did not care for was the decals for the curtains. That may have more to do with my old, fat fingers than the actual decals, but in the end, painting the curtains worked just fine for me.

Good build. If I follow the color codes it’s about 12 colors. The only issue is the put on the doors. I broke a hing trying to put one on. The plastic were clean. A lot of fun you’re not going to complete it in one sitting. So your get your money worth

Excellent addition to the rest of the Revell VW T1 models.Molded in gray and white,I would prefer all white. The fit is good .overall I'm very satisfied. If you are a fan of VW split windshield buses this is a must

This is one of Revell's best models, all the parts went tougher real good, instructions are clear. If you take your time you will have a great display. I highly recommend this model, I had a blast.

Directions are poor for number of extra parts. Some parts do not fit well. None of the hinges for doors worked, to tight to work. I did like all of the different ways this could be built.

Good kit. Pretty simple build. Fit ent on the glass pieces for the pop top wasn't great but fixable. Included the pieces to do just a panel van if you wanted.

Just what I wanted. On time fast friendly delivery. Great Service.
