Plaster Wrap is THE WAY to go.
By: rob515
I years past I always did sort of a paper mâché to create scenes. It was always messy and took some time. Earlier in the year I watched a video on using the paster wrap. It changed my mind on how things were done. No mixing, shredding paper and all that stuff. Just cut these to length, dip in water and lay down over foam, cardboard or what ever to create hills. After it dries can be painted, and grass laid down. If there are problem areas, just use regular plaster of paris to repair. Easy Peasy!
Plaster cloth for terrain

This is the way to create hard light weight terrain. I often first create my terrain using aluminum wire screen this works especially well when spanning open areas like a valley. I then cover with strips of wet plaster cloth. This makes a hard shell over which to decorate as you like.
excellent for the price
I have now used several rolls of this product - It is the easiest way to create mountains I have come across. I love it and you get more footage than woodland scenics for less money. I have purchased more and will by more as needed. works best with warm or hot water
Just what you need!

Have used this product on my current layout out and will continue to use it. It shades and holds excellent. Can be cut with a pair of scissor to any length you need. Makes excellent backing for holding rock casting to the layout.
Great to work with.

My first time using plaster cloth. I was really pleased with how easy it was to work with and how you could stretch it across voids. I put a thin coat of stucco mix over top, then did the scenery from there.

I went to plaster wrap from woodland sceincs cloth mainly due to its longer working time before it hardens, good product and works the same otherwise.
