Ok, so I dislike the hmm of the Bachmann dcc decoders. I can not stand it. And the speed steps... So I buy this to replace the factory default. It moves on speed step one. That means no converting anything to hex, Just plug and play. I have one powering a Ft-A unit. It works ok. But been having some problems with the engine not stopping or reversing when commanded. Also, I purchased a second one and plugged it into a Sw-1 that I won off of Ebay. And the decoder went straight into overload. Swapped engines try with the new engine, same result. It melted the plastic insulator. Components are exposed, I have pictures and soon as I figure out whats wrong with my blue tooth I will post them for you all to see. I have yet to get in touch with soundtraxx to see if they will send me a replacement or blow me off. I'm to busy with working and to bummed to do anything to the layout because I couldn't get my SW-1 on the layout for duty. I would still purchase this decoder, although I do not know how the company will respond. Down with that annoying Bachmann hum.
