Excellent Kit and Build
This is the first Tamiya kit I have built and first motorcycle I have built in probably 50 years. Excellent kit with great part fits. High quality plastic, chrome plating, clear parts and decals. Nice to have tubing provided for cabling. This kit was very enjoyable to assemble. Some spark plug cables hard to install but most other cables went in place well. Nicely detailed instructions. Throttle cables' termination point unclear in instructions so I just tucked them up under the gas tank. I recommend this kit for motorcycle fans. I built the kit for a friend who has the 1:1 motorcycle.
Fond Memories
I ordered this Tamiya 1/12th scale model from Hobbylinc because of the fond memories I have of the Yamaha that I rode about 15 years ago. I'm glad I did. The fine casting of this kit made it a pleasure to build. The addition of tubing and screws added another element that was very interesting. The quality and fit of the parts were excellent and made for a really nice looking finished model.
Good kit, parts are pretty clean, fun build
There were some fitting issues but over all a good kit, parts were pretty clean (8 out of 10). Overall I enjoyed the model and would recommend to those 2 wheel model lovers.
