Yet another outstanding kit from Tamiya! The instructions are clear and complete, with paint colors referring to their paints. The parts are crisp and clean although each could due with just a bit of lite seam line scraping here and there. Just follow the instructions and the kit builds out into an excellent representation of this historic F1 / Grand Prix race car. Due to the tight fits of thin and delicate parts, this kit is not for the complete beginner. But it's great fun for any other builder. And for the modeler ready to take the next step, it's the perfect challenge. Furthermore, the kit offers plenty of opportunities for the more advanced modeler to add details like spark plug wires, fuel lines, brake lines, and hoses. I very highly recommend this kit.

I remember these early Formula One open wheel racecars from Matchbox collectibles. Before cable television it was next to impossible to watch formula one racing except for the Indianapolis 500, of course. This kit let me have a closer look at the mechanics of these ground breaking machines. The engine, disc brakes, and suspension details on this kit are outstanding. There are ten pages of instructions that make assembly easy. I recommend acquiring aluminium and gold leaf colors to make the product authentic. I was very happy with this kit, and it is an important component of my model automobile collection.

Kit has amazing detail, great directions, and is even more fun to build. i completed this build in one day, which was my fastest build. everything fit perfectly, no issues at all. tires and decals were beautiful and looked amazing. just as a warning though, make sure you have plenty of building room because there are some very small parts that are easy to loose, and you will need a eyeglass screwdriver or something very small for the end to install the parts that require screws, though i think it is optional.

What fun it was to build this Honda F-1 RA272 Racecar. This is the first Tamiya model kit that I have had the pleasure of putting together. I am very impressed with the quality of the casting and fit. The plastic is a pleasure to work with and the instructions for assembling and painting are straightforward. Highly recommend.

Love this Tamiya kit. A piece of history but even better than that the quality of molding is really good. Love the idea of clear parts to show off the engine but these must be really difficult if you choose to paint them, I didn't. Extremely happy with the result and moved several models to put this on display.

This is an excellent kit to build and a very good value. The parts' detail and fitment were excellent. Instructions and paint coding were also very good. Due to the number and fitment of parts, this is for the experienced modelers.

Lost wheels for this? Any idea where I could get the four (4) brake/hubs for my project? I lost them during a medical emergency in my house. I need the brake sections that wheels are bolted on to

This was the third model I built and the first one I felt like I got right. Like the other Tamiya models I've built, the process was fun and instructions were intuitive.

Excellent model value. Engine and suspension details standout. Front steering linkage very smooth operating. I kept the rear cowling clear to show off engine.

Awesome kit to do, fun to build and the mix suggestion in pating created a more realistic effect to the real thing.

this was my first tamiya kit and wow!! the fitment of parts was excellent. this kit was a blast to build.

Parts fit almost perfectly. Detailed engine is a plus.
