Reviews : Tamiya Mazda Efini RX7 Sportscar Coupe

Very simple and easy to build this model. Not many parts to this kit, so you can spend more time focusing on painting details, like suspension parts & the interior etc. It has an engine bay, however it does not come with any engine parts (other than the pre-installed factory little twin turbo's, & a flat oil pan, for some reason). This makes for an excellent kit to put any 3D printed engine you want in to. The factory oil pan makes a great spot to glue the engine to or you can remove it, for taller engines. I also cut the turbo's out to make space.

Superb detail, for the Mazda first sucessfull rotary cylinder engine. This car is still astonishing today, with all the power it has. The model, faithfully represents that, with a nice engine bay. This is the tuned up version.

This kit doesn't come with the rotary engine and turbos, so I got one from ebay 3d resin print included in the picture but regardless to that, I could tell it's going to be a great kit build.

Fun build. Being a curbside kit, it's all about the body shape, and what a great shape the RX7 has! Just like other Tamiya kits, the molds are clean with very little clean up needed.

Was disappointed is has no engine. The rest of the model was great. Very little flash and you have the option of left or right hand drive. Love the wheels and tires.

The parts fit is excellent, and there is very little flash on the parts. The instructions are excellent. The only negative for me is the lack of an engine.

The only minus on this kit is that its a curbside (no engine). Otherwise its great. Nice detail inside and out. Worth the

Wasn’t the specific model of rx7 I was looking for but it will do fine for what I’m trying to accomplish.

I would buy again these are great. Arrived in decent time and everything was there in good condition.
