Plenty of detail for the price
Well detailed instructions and the car matches the actual vehicle very closely. Pay attention to online photos, as some painting suggestions are JDM only and won't match US delivered vehicles. Decals are very good and the metal transfers match the car exactly. I built this kit for a friend as a Christmas gift, they were very happy with it.
The kit doesn't have a separate engine to assemble, which I'm finding is a common trend in current car models. The engine is molded into the front fender liner piece and you attach various pieces to form the engine. It's detailed enough for the scale however and looks good with the hood propped open. The suspension pieces are all separate, unlike some Subaru kits where it's all molded into the underbody.
The only issues I encountered with this kit were attaching the front and rear bumpers. The glue bled through from the back and etched the exterior body. It took a lot of putty/sanding to fix the problem. I wish Tamiya would include secondary pieces for LHD, hence the four stars versus 5 stars.
