Fantastic
By far the most exquisite, best made and absolutely flash free model I have ever built. Everything fit so perfectly, there was just no need to fiddle and fit. Never once did I have to use putty to fill in miss-fitting parts. The only filing was after removing a part from the tree. If only every model was like this. Tamiya outdid themselves with this one.
I didn't paint the body because it was molded in a beautiful glossy white. I just couldn't bring myself to cover it with paint. I once saw 6 300 SLs in the Coy's of Kensington showroom, in London UK, and all were silver, but now there is a white one.
I plan on making another, and maybe it will be silver, although Tamiya also suggested cream or red.
Again, don't be afraid of this one. The fit is so perfect that you should be fine. Just go slow and test everything. Remember the rule, If it looks wrong, it is!
Excellent Tamiya quality, one of their best models

Excellent Tamiya quality as usual. Parts have minimal flash. Molded in white. Window masks and mesh material (for front air intake) included. Doors are movable, can be opened or closed and have a support tubes to leave them open if desired. Hood can also be opened and has a support tube to hold it if needed/wanted. Bumper pars are included for European or US license specifications. Detailed body frame, engine, cockpit and body. One of the best Tamiya models I have built. Highly recommended!!
Most Precise Model

Just built this model and it is impressive! It is the toughest one I have ever built, but gives me the confidence ti attempt others that I have shied away from. There are many very small parts and many details not available on other models, but the precision that went into the engineering of this model makes it a lot easier to assemble, because when the parts are fitted together, you know that they are positioned correctly!
Dream car.

Have been wanting this one for along time. Caught it on sale. The frame may be challenging for some. Engine looks great. Looks easy to add fuel lines and wires. Engine paints are basicly black and silver, i will mix it up with some brass and bronze, maybe some copper. Think there was 2 very faint mold lines. Great details all around. Thinking gloss black and red interior.
Challenging Build

I build a lot of models and this was one of the toughest, but also one of the best. The qulity was excellent which is customary with Tamia. The sub frame is not for the faint of heart. When done it is one the coolest looking models.
Great kit

Every Tamiya kit seems better than the last. Love the fit and finish, which is second to none.
