Excellent McLaren Senna
As the background information states, this McLaren Senna shows an uncompromising desire to be the best - like the genius driver it’s named after. This 1/24th scale hypercar is a magnificent representation of the “form follows function” mantra of the company. Tamiya captures this beautiful design by using a monocoque part onto which body panels are attached individually, allowing for a highly realistic depiction of the car. The precision fit of the pieces, along with the clean and detailed casting, makes building this kit both challenging and a pleasure. Another aspect that makes this kit so interesting is that Tamiya has designed it to be assembled into blocks of the same color, streamlining the painting process. The dashboard has two options: either road or racing. Overall, a fantastic model to build.
Great McLaren model
I just completed this model and I agree that it was one of the more detailed kits I've ever built. That includes the 1/350 scale Tamiya USS Enterprise. I used a nail polish color from OPI called Coconut Kiss. It's a brilliant purple pearl and contrasts great with the black. I used a 50/50 mix of nail polish and Mr Color leveling thinner. It came out great but unfortunately my shaky hands and slippery fingers messed up some of the paint and windows. I think I can fix the paint but the windows are a lost cause. I'm considering buying another one. Now that I've built one the next one would be easier.
absolutely beautiful model!
This model is the most detailed model I have built and I have been building models since I was 11 yrs. old. the details are so fine, it is hard to describe them, only problem is that when it is finished all those beautiful details are covered up. This kit is only for experienced modelers, not for beginners.Following the instructions is awesome, but do test fit parts before glueing and use liquid cement that is in a bottle such as revell professional.I took me a week to finish it but it is an absolutely beautiful model. I Highly recommend it.
Sharp car
I enjoyed the challenge of building this model. Overall, the fit was very good, with the exception of hanging the doors. Took some light modification to get the door seams to look correct. Detailing is excellent, with better than usual engine details. I'll get some pics in soon
Stunning model
Not for the beginner modeler here. Will test your skill level and hone it at the same time.
