Great aircraft carrier for a great price
I think Tamiya does a really good job with the 1/700 scale ships. The Junyo is no exception. It had good detail, good molding, very little trimming was needed, and there are cool upgrade kits available. I used Tom’s IJN Carrier set A which can be found at this link: https://www.hobbylinc.pro/toms-wwii-ijn-carrier-detail-set-plastic-model-ship-accessory-1:700-scale-702. The model represents the 1944 version which has a really neat camouflage scheme, and the ship is bursting with AA guns. All in all it was a great kit. It’s easy to make it look detailed, it goes together well, and it looks great when you’re done.
Just a fun kit
Just your typical Waterline series kit, but also very fun. The detail was typical, and the fit excellent. The air wing has sixteen aircraft, along with decals. There are no decals for the deck, your supposed to paint it.
