Reviews : Tamiya German Motorcycle and Sidecar WWII

Very fun kit to build, didn't need any cleaning up of pieces, sprue's were strong with a place to hold it whilst you paint. A lot smaller than one would expect but after all, it is to scale. Has instructions for two paint and two build schemes. One is eastern Europe, a german grey and feild grey mix: and Tunisia Africa, a dark yellow Afrika corps mix. The build variations include a larger air filter (really just a large piece glued on the top of the gas tank), and a side car with either a mount and an MG42, or a regular sidecar with space for the gunner to hold an MP40. It also has various misc items which include a blanket and what I presume is a round container of some kind that you can put either on the front of the side car, or into of the back tire. Has a different decal for three different license plates, a decal for a strip of white paint to place alongside the wheel fender of the car, and a two different decals for side car emblems (show the division of the motorcycle) Overall would rate very high on a scale of 1 - 10. A 9.5 to be honest. I will be buying another one.

I like this kit. It has good clean modling with no flash and strong details. It includes a k98 rifle, mg-34 and mp40 smg, motorcycle, sidecar and two figures. It has decals for either an Eastern front German gray model or an Afrikakorps Dark Yellow version. That is about it. I bought this kit to put in a Operation Barbarossa diorama where it passes a broken down kv2 tank in 1941.

I haven't build this kit yet. Very small but that's expected for this scale. I'm using this kit as part of a diorama I'm building. I recommend this kit if you have a reason for this scale kit. It's a nice kit with plenty of parts to build optional models.

Despite its small stature this kit is an absolute pleasure to build. In finishing if you're looking for a quick and unusual kit (its small stature) this is what you're looking for.
