Good combat set
By: ryan_mowat_9
It comes with three arisaka rifles (two with a bayonet), a knee mortar, an officers sword, and equipment for all the troops (watert bottles, ammo boxes, bags, a letter bag, a type 94 holster knives, binocular cases and a choice to have either four helmets, or two helmets and two hats).
Be wary, the instructions are only in Japanese, along with the painting guide (both on the back of the box)
You will most likely need to use google picture translate on a phone to get it.
To get the shirts right you also have to mix khaki (xf49) and flat green (xf5) so if you're looking for complete box authenticity you will have to mix a paint with no definite guide.
Not a bad set overall though. It has good quality and the pieces are molded well.
The Best Japanese Combat Set
I need another set! Actually I can use two as I had the pleasure of using one already as shown in the photos of a battle scene on Iwo Jima for a custom built ambush diorama. I switched many parts from the four original figures in the set and arrived at the conclusion that one more set would have given me, the modeler (and the Japanese) a more realistic diorama. For an old Tamiya set this one has a great amount of detailing beyond what would be out there in up dated kits. This crisp details were evident throughout the figures and the conversion to various poses for a more realistic scene made easier. Age aside, this would make a great beginner set or one for an old hand like myself. Purely a joy to build!
I can't read Japanese but still a good kit
As stated in another review everything is in Japanese. Managed to find colors by looking at directions for previous kits I have built. Other than that no problems with this kit. I am skipping all around the different fronts of WW2. Have done Russian, German and Japanese and will probably end up doing some British as well. Any excuse to buy more kits. This is a nice kit with plenty of extras. Reminds me of some Japanese soldiers I had as a young kid. I think they were seven or eight inches in height and the poses were very similar. Ah well, neither here nor there about the kit. Would recomment this.
Figures to company my Chi-Ha
Finally I have nice looking troops to start pacific themed dioramas! These figures will go nicely with my Chi-Ha, only reason I didn't give 5 stars is there's no detailed instructions and everything is in Japanese haha but I'll make do with references from internet and other pics on hobbylinc!
Great!

This a pretty good set of Japanese! I think its better than the Dragon set. It comes with an extra rifle. The only problem I had was that the guy shooting the rifle looked kind of weird. The rifle didn't sit very well in his hands. But, other than that, great set!
Japanese army set

It’s a great kit , a couple of problems , weapons not enough and limited.also I can’t believe Hobbylinc only have a very limited amount of ww2 Japanese army 1/35 scale figures not much of a choice.but this kit is very good. Dynamo 1
Japanese infantry
I just found these on here and I will order them for something that I plan on making. Overall they look good and easy to make.
Nice - but old - kit

Good kit with engaging poses, but the hands, faces and weapons leave something to be desired compared to newer kit offerings.
