Excellent Kit
By: snod
A excellent little kit by Tamiya. You have the option of European theater dark green or North Africa dark yellow. I went with dark green. You get 3 figures with this choice. The Africa theater 2 figures. Decals for 4 divisions. One of which is Candian. No trouble with the decals. A lot of extra accessories come with it (ammo canister, jerry can, extra weapons, radio etc.). I made a mistake while glueing parts B-29 & B-28 to A-1. Which caused a large gap in the front under what I guess would call the hood. I fix this with a piece of spruce filler. So, watch fitting the sides to the bottom. I enjoyed building this kit. It would be a great piece for a diorama. I plan to build it again in dart yellow and add a 6-pound artery piece being towed behind it. I learned about this in my research on the carrier. Go Tamiya and have fun.
Small But Detailed
For a small model measuring just 4.5 inches long x 2.5 inches wide, this British Carrier from Tamiya includes a lot of interior detail. The accessories include a nice variety of firearms (Bren machine guns, a Sten Mk.II sub-machine gun, Enfield rifles and PIAT anti-tank weapon) plus a good selection of gear. It also includes a total of five figures (3 European front and 2 North Africa front) to choose from, as well as paint schemes and decals for both theaters. Typical of Tamiya's great quality, the casting was clean, and the fit was excellent, so it was an easy model to build. Thoroughly enjoyable!
Well Liked Kit Can Easily See Why

Great little kit, relatively small but nonetheless good to build. Tamiya has this 'Support Vehicle' and a 'Force Reconnaissance' version out there; pretty much same vehicle different figures. Agreed tracks are a little tight and narrow so aligning the wheels is critical; The driver / steering wheel assembly leaves a lot to be desired; that and the drive wheel is static so don't expect moving tracks. Nonetheless a good fun build at a lower price tag.
It’s showing its age, but it’s great for a beginner
I have built several examples of this kit, including building it when I was very young (in the 1970s for sure). While this had the “European Campaign” figures, it also has the figures more suitable for Africa/Med service. The nice thing is that it’s a great balance of exterior and interior. I know that it is aging, and there are more detailed (and expensive) kits out there, but this kit reasonably priced and significantly detailed.
British WW II staple.

For years I’ve avoided this model….couldn’t stand the design….BUT…just by chance I started a small British collection with the Quad 25 pounder..the LPDG Command truck so I thought I’d give this a shot. BOY am I glad I did. This is a sweet little model ! Went together very well…had lots of accessories and is quite a neat addition to my collection. 5 variants….I picked North African…sweet little model.
Twins by Tamiya
This my second Tamiya Universal Carrier and is without a doubt a great marketing and I like the options available. I positioned the sitting figure as the driver to add realism to the vehicle. I'll work the remaining figures into the vehicle layout. This is a fairly easy kit to assemble and is plain fun to have around, depicting 2 theatres of WW2 is always good. I highly recommend this kit to all ages.
Excellent Kit w/options

This was an interesting kit to build with some options. There were five figures to use with different painting recommendations. I made some changes to the suggestions to better fit into the European operations. The instructions were good, but in some areas I needed to study the diagrams to see how to assemble the parts. I would recommend this kit.
Bren gun carrier

Excellent instructions. A very different vehicle than I am used to building. Makes the instructions very important. For me and any one else that lacks the knowledge of the universal carriers. Tamiya should should be rightfully proud of their instruction staff.

I have been making model’s for awhile, I think this is so realistic a little hard is very small but a nice build! I would recommend this to anyone. Keep up the good work! I know I will be making more. Hobbylinc is the best.
Great easy build kit

Excellent Kit by Tamiya. Easy to build with Tamiyas usual quality and detail. Would make for a great diorama with Tamiyas British infantry on patrol, and the newer Tamiya Churchill tank.
Great Fun
I really enjoyed this kit.. great instructions with soldiers and accessories. Done the best on this project as many others. Really improved my building skills.
Simple

Easy, fun, classic Tamiya. No issues with the vehicle. A few of the figures and weapons have that normal Tamiya chunck to them, not an issue though.
Old but Gold

Even though this model is very old, Tamiya still paved the way for models. This Carrier is small and easy to build, requiring just alittle paitiance
Fun kit
It’s small so all the parts are small. I loved this kit. A lot of great detail and everything fit well. Definitely recommend to everyone!!

A very nice kit. The figures are high quality. there are a couple of areas where the instructions could be more clear.
