A Great Addition to the Panther Family!
Tamiya is the best manufacturer of the BIG Cats as in tanks and tank destroyers and this model is no exception. I've been building their selection over many years and have found Tamiya to be the most detailed and have a good fit of all manufacturers. I opened the box as I always do for any kit and was pleasantly surprised by the number of small detailing parts that always come with these kits, adding detailing beyond other manufacturers. The clear instructions always help with construction and the detailing is a result, I have seen the little cartoon character in the instructions and get a real kick out of it, he's a real joy to see. I will be adding this model to an existing Tamiya Panther Tank from years ago already in a diorama surrounded by German Infantry and it will no doubt add immensely to the overall atmosphere of troops and supporting armor. This kit is somewhat more complex than its counter part with the suspension being more challenging than most tank style models, take time to study instructions, therefore I highly recommend this kit to experienced German Tank builders.
Nice Kit
I build mostly tank and armour kits and I prefer Tamiya models over all the other companies for several reasons . The directions are easy to follow , the spruces are free of flash , and the detail is top shelf . This model is one of those kits . This kit offers the one piece track which I prefer over the seperate links ( if your careful with a small heated flat screwdriver you can mend it together nicely ) , some cool interior detailing , and a working back hatch so you can see inside. All in all this is an excellent model that's well worth the price .
Good kit - poor fit on the road wheel axels
The axels for the road wheels were too short for the outer row, i.e., the axels could not engage the outer bank of wheels so some improvisation was necessary. This caused me to use only 8 sets of the wheels (single & double) Not noticeable if you don't look hard. This is the only problem that I encountered. Improvise, adapt and overcome!
Good quality kit out of the box that fits together nicely.
Those who just want to build a good quality kit out of the box that fits together nicely with minimum fuss and aren't too bothered by accuracy or extra detailing will find this kit very enjoyable to build and will have a nice looking 1:35th Jagdpanther at the end.
Great Kit
This kit has very good detail and is great as a stand alone project. No flash and parts clean up easily. I prefer using photo etched parts, metal barrel, and individual metal track links to add realism. The extra time spent doing this makes a huge difference.
great build
This honey was a joy to build. typical Tamiya fit. more detailed than most Tamiya kits. great tow cables. options for two variants. easy instructions. little putty here and there for sinks but other than that a real beauty
Jagdpanther
Excellent Tamiya product with crisp detail, excellent commander figure with sharp detail of uniform. The back hatch is moveable as is the canon. Multiple decal markings for different divisions.
Good detail, not too be used as a toy
This model has really good detail but it is NOT too be used as a toy. It's reminds me of the real JagdPanther and it is fun too build, I recommend this 100%
Like it!
I really like this kit and am glad they included the armor skirt. Lots of room to add battle damage there!
Love the kit
Have built a couple of these and I love them. Easy to assemble and really fun to weather.
