A Most Enjoyable Kit
This Churchill Tank is one of the most enjoyable kits that I’ve built. The tank itself was interesting because of the rhombic shaped design, giving it the length needed for wider trench crossings. That made for a finished model that is about 8 inches long. But for me, where this model excelled was with the figures and their accessories. I like how Tamiya portrayed the farmer showing gratitude by way of his expression but also, his showing appreciation by offering the crew some wine and a brief respite from the chaos. Then Tamiya includes a fun little cart with milk jugs, a pail, a lantern and a basket to hold the wine bottles. There is also an additional sprue not mentioned in the details that includes two more figures and accessories. This model is outstanding Tamiya quality in every sense.
I enjoyed this kit very, very much
Yes, it is an older Tamiya kit, but the addition of the crew figures and ETO civilian with cart (circa 1996) makes for a unique scene! They are not for a winter scene, but otherwise could anywhere in Europe that UK/Commonwealth forces served. The tank is a work of art and so different looking. While the wheel mounts have significant seams, but are almost entirely covered. I had to fill in the top turret seam with stretched sprue, but it looks really neat. The usual two-piece barrel requires some work. The relatively small parts count is a huge positive. This kit flew together. I scratched the tow cables only because I wanted to. The other (older) figures are really good, and would add even more flavor to a scene. Worth every nickel!
Great model
Another quality kit from Tamiya. The parts are well manufactured with no flash and no warped pieces you might find with other brands. There's several options while assembling this tank like wether or not to put the front fenders on (I put them on mine ) . This kit also comes with a full tank crew interacting with a civilian with a cart which made this model that much cooler. All in all this kit went together well, was a great price, and if your into tanks like I am, this is a must have for your collection.
Better Than Expected, Good Kit

Tamiya quality yet again but some minor tweaking needed to achieve perfect fit or change sequence of built. Some confusing aspects like hatch openings, some cannot open and others shouldn't. Some highly detailed parts get covered in the end and some exterior parts could have better detail. Some flash but typically very good mold quality. Good set of figures that offer a range of diorama possibilities.
Tamiya precision again
This is an instant diorama! The farmer with the wagon is exquisite. I chose to not label the wine, preferring it to be home brew. Tamiya even included a map, for the lost officer.
A very enjoyable build. Lots of detail, but everything fit. Had one problem with the instructions...if it doesn't look right it isn't! Go slow and dry fit everything.
Nice kit

Other than suspension it was an easy build . Suspension not hard, just some small parts for my older eyes to deal with . End result is a stellar example of a kit I've always wanted to build . Recommend for all skill levels .

Fun kit to build. No fit issues and some nice detail. I recommend it for model builders of all skill levels. I added some small scratch built details to my kit and gave it a nice dusty look. Pics are included with review.
Awesome kit.
This kit was a walk in the park. This kit had good details every thing fits nice. Your mad at a kit pull this out and your stress will go away granted.
