Satisfying build

The motorcycle part of the kit contained approximately 20 parts and they were all pretty much clean and free of flash. The chain a sprocket lacked any real detail but is hidden from view in the completed kit. The backs of the saddlebags are open and that opening is visible at some angles, I used some .5mm card stock to fill them in. The addition of some fine copper wire to the handle bars and run to the wheels and engine do a lot for additional detailing of the kit and is a really easy thing to do. The figures themselves are very cleanly molded and you have a choice of two different heads (one with a hat and one without) for the motorcycle rider. I nice touch. The kit provides road signs that you can cut out of the back of the box and the map that the rider is holding is printed on the instruction sheet (a tip here is to paint the back side of the map with either white out or white paint as the instructions themselves would other wise be visible in the completed kit).
Another Tamiya Oldie
Upon opening the box and inspecting the figures and the motorcycle I noted that the size of the figures is reminiscent of the older figures that Tamiya made years ago that appear to be slightly larger than the current ones. One thing is evident, is this size difference to anyone that started with Tamiya back in the 1970s. None the less, the age difference will make little difference should one decide the figures and motorcycle can be combined with the same era items into a diorama. A case for this would be combining the figures with the older field kitchen set from that particular era. I recommend this kit to experienced builders.

Cool Kit
This was a fun kit to do. Great detail and look, biker came cool will be a great figure addition for the scene I am doing. It's just a good set at a good price.

This model has excellent detail as well. I'm planning on adding it to a diorama with another kit. Can't wait to see how it turns out.
