This is an outstanding model
This model dates from 2016, and it shows the enormous advancement in Tamiya’s already excellent engineering and detail, with figures that would rival any resin figures you could find on the market. Almost every piece just falls into place. If carefully assembled, many of the subassemblies move and function. The gun can swivel, elevate/depress and can be posed in any state of fire on the gun cradle. The figures are superb and have different looks and facial expressions on each. The only minor issues I noted were: some VERY delicate and tiny parts; some knockout marks are visible and most be dealt with; barrel seams are difficult to deal with; no empty powder cans, used shells or breech sponge. Note: the rammer’s head should be bronze (non-sparking) and this kit would not really fit into WW2, even though there was ONE that served and supposedly fired the first allied shell into Germany itself. This kit results in a very beautiful and unique scene.
