One of the best airplane models in this scale
Tamiya is known for well made kits and this one is no exception. Excellent fit and finish with cockpit details usually found on larger scale models. This kit, along with Tamiya's 1/72 scale P-47D Razorback, allow the modeller to build both styles of this iconic U.S. fighter. The only fault may be the decals which are a bit thick. Still a highly recommended kit.
A wonderfully entertaining little kit to make
This one lived up to the Tamiya reputation. Outstanding fit, details and design. No complaints about the model itself. I did struggle with the decals and found them super easy to rip which is not something I encounter with Tamiya kits often. Probably was something I was doing wrong though, not ready to blame it on the kit.
Get one and build it!
Tamiya 1/72 P-47D Thunderbolt Razorback ... excellent kit. Nicely engineered so went together well. Cockpit has decent detail for this scale. The kit needed little to no filling of gaps nor sanding of seams. The Little Chief decals scheme was a challenge but the decals are good.
