this is a highly detailed and well molded kit with a high parts count and tons of options. while building the fuselage and wings up the fit was just perfect. It has a highly detailed engine and would build up just perfect for a doors open build. for a wheels up display the fit in the nose area leaves a lot to be desired. I had a particular reason for doing so and am sure most will build it to display the engine. If you decide to go with a wheels up build I suggest you disregard the instructions and build the nose back to front starting with the cockpit. avoid using the engine. the exhausts will require great care as they attach to the engine. it is however an extremely high quality kit and while wheels up is an option, it was meant to be built all panels up.

I purchased this model airplane through another retailer, so I can't review the ordering and shipping process. I'm sure that would have been good since hobbyLinc is always good in that department. I must say that the fit of all parts is spectacular. I did not use any putty or do any heavy sanding. There are painting schemes and decal options for 3 different squadrons. I did jg54. There are some small parts and numerous small decals, but that provides more detail. That is no problem. This kit also comes with mask for the canopy, and magnets for the engine, propeller and undercarriage. I would highly recommend this kit to modellers looking for a detailed kit.

A beautifully detailed kit that offers the option to display with the engine cowlings open for maintenance or closed. With the engine cowlings open the engine detail is viewable for all to see. Typical Tamiya engineering makes this kit go together like a dream. A must-have kit.

Tamiya has hit it out of the park with this kit. The detail is sharp and very crisp. Great fit throughout. Decals are really beautiful. The three options are really sharp. Will definitely get another down the road.
