Reviews : Tamiya Grumman F-14D Tomcat

I haven't built this model yet but I want to comment on the photos that members have uploaded. I'm jealous of the skills these guys have. I'm almost 80 and a can't even come close to doing the level of detail these guys are doing. Especially the cockpit detailing. I've been building models all my life. Cars. Planes. Ships. Model trains. Even on my best day I couldn't duplicate what these guys are doing. I can still air brush really well but my hands aren't nearly steady enough to do fine detailing. Hats off to all of you.

You really have to put one of these together. The build is comprehensive and fluent. The fit & quality is remarkably impressive. Tamiya provides a few squadron markings. Also included are several weapon options which allows you to customize the aircraft type. Bombcat, Interceptor, Recon, etc. I was extremely happy with the finished product.
