Suitable for all enthusiast
With the usual robust-built and well engineered qualities found in Tamiya kits, the Aerial Ropeway being no exception, provides an excellent break for the dedicated modeler who needs from time to time the simplicity of a solid diversionary kit - one that would help keep modeling from becoming routine. I feel that it would also be an excellent choice for the parent to introduce a child to mechanical engineering, with the unique method by which the Ropeway reverses it's direction through the moving of gears. The close tolerance of parts should eliminate any ill-fitting episodes of discouragement. From the built, just a couple of suggestions/observations. Per the instructions on where to apply the included grease/lubricant, use the grease liberally - not with stinginess - as the product as a whole benefits when all the parts individually move without friction. Also, the instructions indicate that glue is required; this would be glue to fashion the cardboard cabin. The plastic parts that compose the tram's frame do not require plastic cement. One need's only the Elmer's Wood or paper type glue. Some challenges to the prospective buyer: How would you paint the cabin? Realistic with weathering? Creaky and dilapidated? Or pink. And, can you engineer a cable that the tram follows that would allow a continuous circular course, rather than a straight one (where the tram goes back and forth)? Think about it. Good luck, and pleasant modeling.
