Perfect For Gundams
By: Tommy
This blue is perfect for any Gundam that uses the regular Gundam Blue. The deep rich blue can be made brighter with a lighter primer and darker with a darker primer. On my RX-178 AEUG, this paint looked perfect with a grey primer. I didn't matte coat the paint, rather I used a gloss coat because the gloss and deep blue gives the color much more depth. I haven't used it on other models but for Gundams this color is perfect. It'll make any Gundam look much more professional.
Best model paint by far
Tamiya makes the hobby paint on the planet. Its so easy to work with. The coverage is awesome. At first, coming from Testors, I was hesitant because Testors is so thin and barely covers. Once I used it, it was a game changer. I will be switching all my paints to Tamiya.
Great acrylic paint
As with all Tamiya acrylics, thin between 1:1 and 2:1 paint to thinner for airbrushing. I personally thin about 65% thinner. 15-18 psi. Brush paint in one direction only and avoid over brushing until first coat is cured (not just dry to the touch)
i use them on all my car and bike models
I use only Tamiya paints on my cars and bike models they go on nice and smooth with no brush marks in the paint they are true to the color they say they are and a must for Tamiya models they out of the brush with hot water
Acrylic X-4 blue
A very nice blue, needs a little thinning, covers well levels nicely and is an all around good paint, I don't really see any downside, however it does dry somewhat fast.
Nice Product
Very nice blue, color does darken with multiple coats. Thinning is simple for airbrush use, I recommend 2 parts paint to 1 part thinner.
Loved it.
I absolutely love this color. I used this for my models and it is a very pretty royal blue. Just make sure to shake well before using.
Excellent Acrylic X4 Blue 3/4 oz
Smooth coverage. Covers large areas and is true to color. Brushes nice and flows even. Used on P-51 and looks good.
Nice plain or mixed with yellow to produce shades of green
Used this to paint jeans on pewter figures and when mixed with yellow, to paint a cowboy's saddle blanket.
Awesome Blue
I am doing a 69 SS Camaro with this blue I love it. If you like blue do yourself a favor and thy the X4 Blue
nice paint
the only thing i didn't like is that for some reason it showed a lot of runs. but i would still recommend
Best paint for the money
Just can't beat this paint. I used it for a resin figure. Lays down well, and coverage is great.
Tamiya Paint
Tamiya is always good paint. No complaints. Airbrush or by hand it just works well.
X4 Blue
If at all possible I use Tamiya paint on my models.
