this is by far one of the best simi gloss blacks i have ever used. i have used tons of other products and tamiya is a great coverage and texture the grain size is tiny and sprays from a air brush great. the brush coverage is ok it takes a few coats. if you thin it down a little it has a smoother finish when using a brush.

Tamiya makes the hobby paint on the planet. Its so easy to work with. The coverage is awesome. At first, coming from Testors, I was hesitant because Testors is so thin and barely covers. Once I used it, it was a game changer. I will be switching all my paints to Tamiya.

I love Tamiya paint and use it for almost everything. This semi-gloss is OK for the air brush but is not good brush paint. Inconsistent sheen when brushed. I will continue to use this for airbrush but prefer Model Master semi-gloss black for brush work.

I use only Tamiya paints on my cars and bike models they go on nice and smooth with no brush marks in the paint they are true to the color they say they are and a must for Tamiya models they out of the brush with hot water

This thins well with Tamiya X20 acrylic thinner for an airbrush. You can brush paint with it also, but you may have to put a second coat on for full coverage. Excellent paint.

Amazed with this paint. First time opening the bottle and it hardly needed to be stirred. Went on smoothly and covered with a light first coat, best acrylic I have ever used.

After thinning the paints leaves a nice finish when airbrushing or hand painting. Often use it for leather interiors and rubber seals around car windows.

Tamiya once again delivers another super nice paint, this nice black gloss paint delivers just the right amount of gloss and covers super well.

This stuff is great. Sometimes flat is too flat and glossy is too glossy. This is great for propellers and all sorts of black surfaces.

Paint is good, it thins nicely with Tamiya thinner, and sprays real nice with 15 to 20 psi air pressure.

Solid choice for acrylic paints. You can't go wrong with Tamiya.
