Reviews : Tamiya Acrylic X26 Clear Orange 3/4 oz

This stuff is perfect for coloring turn signals. I used it on a 1/24 scale Ford F150. For some reason the model only came with clear turn signal plastics, so I mixed some of Tamiya clear orange with Pledge Floor Care Finish at 1:1 and dipped to give it that nice amber look. I also sprayed the light cavity with Tamiya Titanium Silver to give it that reflective quality. All in all this did exactly what I wanted it to do.

Tamiya makes the hobby paint on the planet. Its so easy to work with. The coverage is awesome. At first, coming from Testors, I was hesitant because Testors is so thin and barely covers. Once I used it, it was a game changer. I will be switching all my paints to Tamiya.

This paint is very versatile: it can be used over clear lens pieces to give that amber lens look as in turn signals, it can be applied over chrome to give it that anodized aluminum look, it can be used over silver metallic for an orange candy look, ect...

I use it to paint lights in car models and it works like a charm, no complaints from me. I did not realize how much I would get with this bottle though. It'd probably last me a lifetime of kits.

I used this to paint the head lights on my model car and it turned out great. Make sure to let it dry completely before touching it or else it'll ended up splotchy.

INSTEAD OF USING CLEAR COAT I USED COLOR CLEAR TO GIVE MY PROJECT THAT LITTLE BIT OF EXTRA DEPTH.

I used this for a fake stain-glass window. Need a few layers to get a deep color, but good.

Great for amber turn signals when used over X11 Chrome Silver or chrome plated parts.

works good in airbrush over tamiya gold leaf for candy paint on model cars.
