Does not dry as fast as the spray
I used this on my tail lights off the first model I did. I ended up messing them all up because they weren't dry after sitting all night. The Tamiya TS lacquers drying about 30 minutes. This was acrylic and I thought it would be the same, but I was wrong, it was still tacky the next day and I ended up leaving a finger print in it. I did not use any thinner with it, so maybe it was my fault.
It's actually red
By: Tommy
It's actually red and not that magenta-pinkish color that the picture shows. I used it to paint the Master Grade Sazabi Ver. Ka. kit that I had. This painted over chrome looks amazing. It has that Ferrari look to it if mixed with a tad bit of clear orange. I use Spaz Stix chrome, which unfortunately isn't sold here, but Alclads II chrome also works.
Best model paint by far
Tamiya makes the hobby paint on the planet. Its so easy to work with. The coverage is awesome. At first, coming from Testors, I was hesitant because Testors is so thin and barely covers. Once I used it, it was a game changer. I will be switching all my paints to Tamiya.
Versatile!
This paint is very versatile: it can be used on clear pieces to get red lens look, it can be used over crome pieces to give that anodized aluminum look, you can put it over a silver metallic for a candy apple paint job, ect...
Good paint, didn't realize how much it was
Bought this to paint the lights in car models and it works well! Did not realize how much I was getting when I bought it though. I feel like it will last me a lifetime of kits.
Loved it.
I used this to paint the brake lights on my model car and it turned out great. Make sure to let it dry completely before touching it or else it'll ended up splotchy.
Paint needed for my project.
I could not find any of the paints I needed at the local Hobby stores in my area, but you guys had them. Package came ontime and was in excellent shape.
tanslucent red
It is actually red, not pink like the color shown online. I used this for a fake stain-glass window. Need a few layers to get a deep color, but good.
Great For Adding Detail!
This is the best product available for adding some flash and pizzazz to brake lights, and any other area where some clear red color can come in handy.
You need this
Clear red is needed to complete most automotive models correctly. This paint applies great and leaves tail lights looking very realistic!
Nice effect Red
Nice Red, easy to over thin, best ratio i have found is thinning with Tamiya thinner at 2 parts paint to 1 part thinner for airbrushing.
best tail light paint
this works will on all car models just paint the light crome and paint the red over it or paint the clear part red look good every time
Great acrylic paint
Great for brake lights or aircraft navigation light when used over X11 Chrome Silver or chrome plated parts
X27 clear red
Nice color, does not seem to need thinning needs several coats, but goes on nice and dries nicely as well.
acrylic paint
tamiya is my go to for acrylics , this clear red is awesome , it covers well and has the clear tint to it
acrylic paint
the transparent red works great for painting over chrome for taillights
