Reviews : Tamiya Acrylic XF19 Sky Gray 3/4 oz

Tamiya paint as usual is excellent but to get a good RLM 76 color try this blend, XF-2 flat white 7 parts: then XF-23 light blue 1 part: then XF 19 sky gray 3 parts. This is a very light gray and just a touch of blue. This is a late war thing and XF-23 still works for early war but I feel it is still a little too blue for any application for German A/C. Most of all do what you like...it is your model and if you like it VUNDEBAR! xf

Tamiya makes the hobby paint on the planet. Its so easy to work with. The coverage is awesome. At first, coming from Testors, I was hesitant because Testors is so thin and barely covers. Once I used it, it was a game changer. I will be switching all my paints to Tamiya.

Paint to Thinner range 2:1 to 1:1 for airbrushing depending on air pressure, paint volume and distance from subject. Experiment on scrap plastic first.

Nice Blight gray, easy to over thin, best ratio i have found is thinning with Tamiya thinner at 2 parts paint to 1 part thinner for airbrushing.

There are a lot of different shades of grey from Tamiya but this is the one I chose. I like it a lot and it gets a lot of use.

Tam,iya acrylics aree always great for airbrushing. This is a great color for portions of US warships.

Ahhh, the many shades of the gray. This is a good sky gray, needs thinning, goes on nice though.

I used to only use enamels until I tried Tamiya acrylics, now it’s what I use the most.
