Reviews : Tamiya Acrylic XF52 Flat Earth 3/4 oz

Good dark dirt colored acrylic paint. Tamiya recommended it for a WWII U.S. soldier's pants, but I think you could also use it as part of the camo scheme for RAF brown and green camouflage scheme. The bigger pot is a better value and you will probably be using this more than you think. Its consistency is a bit on the thick side, but thins well with water (though Tamiya also makes an acrylic thinner that is better), and if you thin it to 5-6 parts paint to 1 part water it will give a very nice brushstroke free look in 3-4 coats. Although, I have just used it straight out of the pot, and I got fairly good results. Very good paint.

Tamiya makes the hobby paint on the planet. Its so easy to work with. The coverage is awesome. At first, coming from Testors, I was hesitant because Testors is so thin and barely covers. Once I used it, it was a game changer. I will be switching all my paints to Tamiya.

I like to use this as the color base for tank treads. good average brownish red color that i like for this. I like the consistency of tamiya paints in my Aztek airbrush. easy to thin with tamiya thinner or alcohol. use tamiya paints predominantly due to this consistency

This the greatest paint I've found for adding some dirt and grime to model kits that don't look right all sparkly and shiny!!! Best way to apply for that dirty grimy look is using the simple dry brush method.

The Tamiya XF series paints are all great. They dry very fast, though, so you might need thinner or the retarder for brushing larger areas. This earth color is good for dirt on tanks.

Another excellent Tamiya product PROs: Great for use w/ airbrush. Goes on smoothly, superb coverage and finish. CONs: None I highly recommend this product.

Paint to Thinner range 2:1 to 1:1 for airbrushing depending on air pressure, paint volume and distance from subject. Experiment on scrap plastic first.

Very nice color went on don't know what else to say I know if u add a few drops of thinner to the paint the paint flows a lot better.

This is a great paint. Great price too. Very sharp color. May require additional thinner to apply properly to plastic model

This is a good size paint bottle for model building. This will be good to use on any models of RAF Aircraft from ww2.
