Great paint
Great paint. I have made the switch from Vallejo to Tamiya due to the coverage and availability. I don't use an airbrush, but with some thinner the paint can be hand brushed just fine. I know with a lot of things it's personal presence but I highly recommend this paint as it gives great coverage.
Best model paint by far

Tamiya makes the hobby paint on the planet. Its so easy to work with. The coverage is awesome. At first, coming from Testors, I was hesitant because Testors is so thin and barely covers. Once I used it, it was a game changer. I will be switching all my paints to Tamiya.
Great acrylic paint
Paint to Thinner range 2:1 to 1:1 for airbrushing depending on air pressure, paint volume and distance from subject. Experiment on scrap plastic first. Good match for faded black

NATO BLACK Shadow Coat
NATO BLACK is so great for laying down a shadow coat on armor. Dries super flat and even and fast. If you need flat black, NATO BLACK is the paint for you.
Super nice matte finish!!!
This is definitely one of the nicest matte black paints you'll ever find. It's definitely black but not too jet black if you catch my drift.
Best base coat for armor models

Regardless of final coat, a base starter coat of Nato Black is great for highlighting the small details.
