Reviews : Tamiya Spray Lacquer TS6 Matte Black 3 oz

As with other Tamiya rattle cans I've worked with before, I found that although not always the most brilliant of colors, they are still quite good and extremely consistent from can to can and the spray is relatively fine which makes painting with it a breeze (unless you're in a breeze, because the wind does tend to carry a fair amount of it off before it actually hits the model). Spray distance between 6-8in from surface was very even and clear with no blemishing or runs. Pros: Sprays well, cleans up easily, doesn't spit or run Cons: Amount in each can relatively small for price.

When building many cars, the engine bays need to be black. After painting the cars main color. Allow the paint to cure before using masking tape and this second color. I also use it for blacked out hoods on cars. You always get consistent results using this paint. It just takes getting used the distance and speed for best results. I usually shoot about 4 away. Take your time and do multiple light coats. Make sure your masking tape is pressed down evenly so it won't seep under it. By giving light coats it helps to seal off the tape between colors.

This is the best flat black paint I have found. I have tried high dollar stuff from auto parts, stores and NAPA paint stores and do not get the results that I get from to me a flat black. It is almost impossible to mess up.

what else can I say,Tamiya paints are above and beyond other spray paints although I use Testors 1 coat colors Tamiya is my go to paint

Great sheen for a matte black color. Good for painting chassis’s and engine bays. No runs and good coverage.

like always their paint is great just need warm canbup alittle in warm water if its a little cool outside

This is the best black paint on the market. I have tried other brands but none compare to Tamiya Ts-6.
